Holding Crosses

Holding Crosses

We worked with the wonderful members of the Friendship Group from SJB Parish. They taught us the process of making wooden Holding Crosses. They are made especially for sick or lonely people or anyone who is facing difficult struggles in their lives. We even got to take some home for our sick family members.
Thank you to Mrs Delio, and all the kind, patient helpers. We loved spending time with these generous parishioners and we learned how to sand and oil the crosses. We also learned that there are many volunteers who give up their time to help others and that they do this to be followers of Jesus.

Lovely to see everyone creating while thinking of others.

  2. Thank you for your effort on this blog, Mrs Berrybush & Mrs Koroknai. I love logging in each week to see what the kids have been up to. - Melina

  3. Thanks! It's great that you log on each week. The kids have so much to show of their learning but of course time is limited as to what gets onto the blog. With time (that word again!) the kids will help with the technology side of things so we can hopefully be a bit more adventurous. It is exciting to receive comments. Thanks for taking the TIME!
